About Us
“We Understand Homesteading, Because We’re Homesteaders, Too.”
About Our Non-GMO, Locally Sourced Livestock Feeds
Our feed mill has been family-owned and operated since 1937—and we still stick to the hands-on farm values that our great-great-grandpa believed in.
Times have changed and our business has expanded, but our commitment to mixing and selling locally grown crops has stayed true for almost 100 years.
The goal then is the same today: providing our community with top-quality feeds and products at a fair price. Stop by our store to find high-quality feeds that come from local farms to your homestead.
Our staff has generations of homesteading experience.
“I’ve walked into large retail stores and needed help figuring out a project. They often have staff but they don’t always have experience. At Miller’s Feed Service, our staff has generations of homesteading experience. We are always ready to answer your questions and give you the best advice for your farm and ag situation.”

Our Legacy: Why We First Put Down Our Homesteading Roots
With generations rooted in the Amish lifestyle, we grew up homesteading. But not all Amish or plain people can relate to our legacy of living off the land. As the food industry has evolved, it’s become easier and easier to buy produce from stores, not recognizing the downfalls until it’s too late.
Homesteading is not always the easiest way to manage your food choices, but it does guarantee you know exactly what you’re eating throughout the year.
As homesteaders, we choose the life of raising and nourishing our own crops and livestock, so we can rest assured we’re nourishing ourselves too.
The most rewarding part of our business isn’t the money we make but the difference we know we’re making in the lives of communities around us.
Whether you’re a long-time homesteader, a newbie, or just interested in the homesteading lifestyle, our team have all walked through similar stages of life. We all started somewhere, and we’re all continuing to learn and grow with our own homesteads.
No one is born homesteading, and while self-sufficiency might be your end goal, it’s even better to homestead with a community of homesteaders who are learning with you.
You don’t have to have generations of homesteaders behind you to start raising crops and livestock, and it’s never too late to start!
We walk with people from all backgrounds to help them put our years of homesteading experience into practice. The first step is starting the conversation about homesteading. You can put the homesteading lifestyle into motion from there!
We are helping customers live a better life.
“My goal is having customers continue to come back year after year and month after month because we are helping them live a better life. I love customer interactions and hearing how our products are helping them achieve their personal goals.”

Our Grain Is Grown Ten Miles From Our Feed Mill
If you’re raising livestock, the first step to improving their health is investing in feed that makes a difference. The best part is seeing better results within 1-6 weeks! From your laying hens to your cows, you’ll notice a better yield in all your food sources (take it from our loyal customers who love our feed options).
Plus, if you raise show animals, our feed helps with that, too. You can expect your show horses and cows to have glossier coats and show improved muscle mass and mobility with our very own (highly recommended) Radiance feed!
Your confidence in livestock feed starts at Miller’s Feed Service—where locally grown grain is the standard.
